How Does Your Internet Service Work? What is Line of Sight?2021-05-01T13:48:49+00:00

Reynolds Media Internet works over a wireless signal, much like the Wi-Fi in your home.  At your location a small radio much like a satellite dish is pointed to our towers located on either Boat Mountain, Compton Mountain, or on Pilots Knob in Harrison.  If you are in the Mountain Home area our towers are located on Crystal Mountain behind the hospital and on the city water tower across from Tucker Cemetery Road in Gassville.  The radio at your location connects to one of our towers and delivers wireless internet to you.  Because this is a wireless solution, your radio will need to be able to see or have a clear “line of sight” to one of our tower sites.  If you aren’t sure, if you can see one of the towers, please feel free to Contact Us and we will do a free site analysis for you.

The below picture demonstrates, what a clear “line of sight” means.  On this picture, you will see a tower on the mountain / hill side just to the right of the two tall trees.  Since there are no obstructions in the way, we can provide this location with our internet services.

Do you have data limits?2021-03-01T16:51:20+00:00

No, we do not have any data limits.  You will have unlimited data each month.

I’m not sure I’m in your coverage area, can I signup or request service?2021-02-25T23:31:56+00:00

Yes, please feel free to send us a coverage inquiry and we will contact you to do a free wireless survey to see if we can provide you wireless internet at your location.

Can I change or upgrade / downgrade plans?2025-02-04T17:02:17+00:00

Yes, at anytime please feel free to message us and let us know what plan you would like to upgrade or downgrade to.  We will change to the plan that you want to try and will pro-rate your monthly bill for the remainder of the month.  If upgrading your plan from LTU to WAVE , or Airmax to LTU, there might be a small equipment fee as different receive equipment might be needed at your location.

What Plan Should I Sign Up For?2025-02-12T17:07:29+00:00

The plan you sign up for just depends on what you will be using your internet for.  We suggest basic web browsing and watching Netflix, Hulu, Disney or other video services on up to two devices will be fine for a 10 Mbps Airmax Plan.  If you have more than Two TV’s or devices you will be watching video services from we recommend the 50 MB LTU Plan.  For those that play online games and want the highest resolution in HD on video services, we recommend the 100 MB LTU or the 250 WAVE or 1 GIG WAVE Plans.

Speeds vary greatly between providers and live streams usually require more than watching programs that have been recorded.  Here’s a list of streaming requirements per provider.  Keep in mind this requirement is for each individual stream so if you are streaming two programs at once, double the numbers below.
